This week (27-31 March), Tinatin Margalitadze (Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia) and Éva Buchi (Université de Lorraine, Nancy, France) are teaching the course “Lexicography and lexicology”, Steven N. Dworkin (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA) acting as their invited scholar, at Károli Gáspár Református Egyetem (Budapest, Hungary), the university that is hosting this year’s common second semester of the European Master in Lexicography (EMLex).

Everything is going nicely: Zita Hollós and her team are extraordinary organisers, and the students of the Lajos Zsarnay class are impressing the hell out of their teachers: steering clear of dull “classical” presentations, they resort to sketches and traditional storytelling, make us take a quiz, interpret a song – and are always asking the quirkiest questions. With these exceptionally bright young people, the future of lexicography is definitely well cared for!
