EMLex is the only master programme worldwide that offers an international bi-annual academic training of 120 ECTS in the realm of lexicography. In addition to the necessary theoretical foundations, practical lexicographic work plays a major role in the academic training. It takes place in internships that students complete after their second semester, amongst others at our partner organisations and partner companies. These do not only include dictionary publishing houses, but also universities, research institutions as, for example Institut für Deutsche Sprache (IDS) and the ATILF, and language technology companies. As EMLex students often speak more than the two required languages English and German, internships can be done all over the world. Between 2010 and 2021, a total number of 130 EMLex students (among them 79 Erasmus Mundus students) completed their internships at the most of the following companies (other listed companies/institutions are open for internships as well):
